Position Profile

Reporting to the President, Smart Process, the Regional Manager will establish a geographic presence and lead the growth of business in a new market. The incumbent will lead the development of client specific sales and marketing strategies that align with operational goals of the company, develop and execute tactical sales strategies to grow the business, and cultivate client relationships to attract and retain business.

Position Accountabilities

  • Identify and develop business opportunities for the company’s AssetCare products and engineering and automation services in the defined geographic market.
  • Identify target clients and understand competitive offerings.
  • Lead all aspects of prospecting, selling and qualification for new clients.
  • Provide consistent customer solutions and develop key client relationships to attain new and repeat business.
  • Promote and enhance mCloud/Autopro’s corporate image and reputation in the market.
  • Contribute to staffing, infrastructure needs, and startup responsibilities.
  • Translate company objectives and to specific actions for the branch in support of overall strategy.
  • Build workgroup as required with skills sets relevant to market segment.

Business Development

  • Actively participate in sales management activities including development of account strategies, defining sales forecasts and sales targets, and regular review and analysis of sales metrics.
  • Directly interface with key account contacts to develop strong client relationships. 
    Actively build new client relationships and contacts. 
    Identify new business opportunities, attend industry and networking events, and conduct cold calling.    
  • Actively lead identification of opportunities for new business with existing customers.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted revenue targets for the defined market.
  • Meet or exceed annual new business and repeat business targets. 
    Develop and deliver sales material in pursuit of sales opportunities, including presentations, qualifications and experience material, and proposals.
  • Diligently track and record required account information in CRM.
  • Ensure clients’ key success factors are understood and deviations from plans are addressed and rectified.

Marketing and Proposal Support

  • Actively contribute to and support the bid, bid strategy and proposal management processes for new and existing clients.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing materials and associated support collateral (paper/electronic/web-site, etc.).
  • Actively contribute to and support sales collateral development including marketing information, qualifications material, sales presentation material and trade show support.

Personnel Management

  • In collaboration with the VP, Talent Development, actively participate in the recruitment process.
  • Conduct performance reviews quarterly.
  • Recommend compensation increases.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology Diploma in relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of business development, marketing, and/or sales experience in a relevant industry.
  • Proven and verifiable track record of growing a business and sales in a new market.
  • Experience within branches of organizations that have experienced 50% or more annual growth is desired.
  • Ability to provide an integrated solution to prospects and customers. Must be able to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifferences and connects need with Company.
  • Highly motivated & innovative individual who can work independently while leveraging various internal and external groups necessary to achieve success for all stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in marketing and experience contributing to a competitive marketing strategy.
  • Demonstrated successful executive presentation skills.
  • Highly effective communicator. Must be able to convey a compelling message that customers can understand, relate to, and ultimately purchase.
  • Closing skills, negotiating skills, sales planning, presentation skills, public speaking skills, marketing skills, decision-making skills and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and CRM software.
  • Position may require travel up to 40% of the time.
